Souvenirs from Africa!

Hey guys! This week my two best friends, and some other students from school returned home after a trip to Ghana. The group they're a part of, called Visions of Change, fundraises for and visits an orphanage in Ghana a few times a year. I wasn't able to go on the trip because I just don't have the money, but it's nice to see pictures and hear stories! The students who go on these trips really connect with the children from the orphanage and it gives them a new perspective on how lucky we are here in first world countries.

A patch of fabric on the pants Tanisha gave me :)

I'm really excited because my friends brought me back a bag and some pants from Ghana! I love them so much. The bag is big and fits a lot of stuff in it, and it has a pocket with a zipper, which is great. The fabric on the pants is very light and a bit stiff, with a couple rips or holes here and there, but not a big deal! I like to role them up to the knee so they look a little less like pajama pants. I look forward to wearing these in the summer.

I made sure to get my favourite fabric patch in the picture, the floral pattern!
And I took a couple of mirror pictures of me wearing them. My camera is no good for mirror pictures but I don't have the patience right now to clear my wall and put the camera on self-timer, haha. :) I apologize for the blurriness!

For more information about this group, you can check out their website here.
And check out this gallery of photos the teacher in charge took from past years!
